Háawka
Welcome
This website is designed to assist you in teaching our youngest members about our culture and heritage. When exploring the website you will find age-appropriate activities that are fun for the whole family.
These activities encourage the use of 'Iipay Aa, our Native language, and introduce our youth to the fundamental building blocks of our culture. Learning our language is important in developing a child's sense of identity, belonging, and self-worth. Children can grow with the knowledge handed down from our ancestors.
All of these activities are designed for you to do at home together, but if you do not have access to the resources or materials needed at home, you can check them out from the Joan Phoenix Library.
Access to this website is available to
Barona Tribal Members only.
